One year with the ASI1600 camera

In May 2017, I purchased a dedicated cooled astro camera: the ZWO ASI1600MM-C.

This camera came out in 2016 and set a new milestone for amateur equipment, it’s likely the most popular camera in the community right now.

Although I’ve already been practicing astrophotography with a Canon 450D DSLR since 2016, this collage shows my results with the ASI1600 from the past year (May 2017 – May 2018).

My first year of deep sky astrophotography with the ZWO ASI1600MM-C camera

All of these photos were captured from my balcony, in the middle of a large and light polluted city. I’m really happy with the results that I obtained with this equipment and sky quality 🙂
